Community oriented mental health training helps to reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues, enables early intervention, improves personal well-being, strengthens community support networks, and creates a healthier society by equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to mental health concerns in their peers and loved ones.

Be a Buddy Program Modules

Each module is a 1-2 hour in person training. Using this system, participants or organizations can choose what they would like to learn about.

Assisting a person in crisis

Learn how to properly respond to a person that is suicidal

Stress

Stress is a constant in life for everyone, learn how it drives behavior that is often not recognized by that person

Neuropsychology of Trauma

Psychological trauma effects how your brain operates and can overtime, rewire the human brain making it progressively harder to recover.

Anxiety and Depression

Both are strong forces that negatively affect your mental health, this module provides participants with a deeper understanding of both. Techniques for managing both are also covered. 

Psychological First Aid

Learn how to help people that have experienced a crisis feel calm and supported 

Posttraumatic stress and PTSD

A critical examination of both, and how they differ

Coping & Resiliency

Techniques for managing stress are great, but it is important to understand what lies beneath those techniques to further enhance coping and resiliency
